Default Logo Xxtreme 700 motor

Hey guys, wondering if anyone is running anything other than the scorpion motor in this heli. I'm using the Align 800mx with CC Edge 160 ESC and it rocks!! Have never ran the Scorpion in this heli and was wondering if it's even worth trying cause the 800mx produces more power according to the specs.

Thanks

I'm waiting for a pyro-850-50. I'll post up my findings!

Running KDE 700XF-495 in 14S. Loads of power. Had to increase the tail gain a bit because of the toque.

Pyro 850 hzndwind by myself yy termination on 14 s, saying that nothing wrong with mx 800, outright on bench or speed setup scorpion will be the stronger motor but on a governed heli with enough headroom you will not notice difference while at low to partial throttle it will most probably be more efficient. worth spending money on scorpion, nah rather get yourself a jive 120, will work very well with mx

Yes it'd be great as long as you can gear to the right HS!

Reb… Many thanks. What range of head speed should be targeted for L700Xx?

MrMel's HS thing says that at 80% on the Kosmik running 12s and 17t pinion you'd be around 2141rpm which is pretty high.
Mine is around 1850....but I should probably go up a tooth anyway.
Running yours at 75% will give you around 2000 which should be fine?
I think the KV of your motor vs the lack of pinion choice is a pain but your esc/motor are top-shelf so it will still be a beast. IMHO.
See what others have to say?

Thanks again Reb… I did read in another thread that you can't use the 750 series Kosmik because the shaft is 6mm. I looked and do not see any 6mm pinions so it may be a no go???

Yes, the one I have is 8mm internally and 6mm externally. If I recall they make a 8mm shaft version too.

Alignment… is your shaft 6mm and if so is the pinion a Logo pinion and if not where did you get it from?

Many thanks, Ray

Kontronik pyro 800-48L and kosmik 160 cool fitted to mine. Great combo. It's a squeeze to fit the cool under the canopy, and to be honest, unless you fly somewhere stupid hot, the standard kosmik would be perfect

Many thanks helinuts... I will most likely have to go with another Heli as I already have the pyro 750 and cool 160, both brand new still in box.
