Default Zeal 700mm Blades?

Has anyone had the opportunity to run the 700mm Zeal blades on the T-Rex 700. I currently have cyclones on the main and tail but the other day I went from hold to normal mode without the stick being down and the blades it the blade grips and put a notch in them. I think they will be ok but I'm trying to decide that. Anyways I was thinking about getting some Zeal 700mm's to try. Does anyone have experience with these? Thanks!!!

You really need to tighten up the blade grips.

There isn't much difference between any of the 700mm-range blades.
Align's 690mm are the least expensive and good quality.
Otherwise, use whatever you like.

They were fairly tight. The oil from the exhaust made it alittle slicker and the sudden application of power made them swing back...

I am using Zeal 700s on my e700, I have no complaints really. All though they a more crisp blade and react faster. Some people like this while others do not..

How hard do you fly? How well do they do in FFF? I'm was also looking at them for my 500Prp.

I fly sport to mild 3d. Flips, rolls, loops, tic-tocs, working on hurricanes and funnels. But my buddy has flown my e700 who flies pretty darn hard and had no issues with them. FFF is also fine no bad habbits.

Yea, that's about what I do. I'm working on my tic tocks but I haven't mastered them yet. I sometimes don't think I would be good enough to tell the difference in one blade to another.

I sorta feel the same way. All though all my helis have only had one brand of blade on them. Most pilots say you can deffinelty tell a difference in different blades but they also probably fly much hard then you or I. If your looking to buy blades i say go for and see if you can tell the difference. Chances are if you can they will not be so different that you will want to remove them.

Yea, I have a set of Rail and Cyclone sitting around. Both I have dinged up with the blade grips and I was nervous about using them. I think they'll be fine so I might end up using them at some point.

I put some Zeal 700mm recently on my TREX 700n DFC. They are actually very different from the Align and you can feel it right away in flight.

They are stiffer with a wider cord and increase your cyclic and collective agility. I had to decrease the collective pitch by 0.5 to 1 degree to not bog the engine at full collective and get the same feeling as with the Align blade (roll rate, cyclic acceleration...).I also had to reduce slightly the cyclic gain as the heli was wobbling a little when I switched. They 'fart' a lot too.

The only downside of the Zeal blades is the quality. Bad finish and the bushing were not fully inserted into the holes...

To give you an idea of how I fly, see video below. This flight was still with the Align blades.

By the way I have a pair of Align blades for sale now. If anybody's interested, let me know...

Vincent - Trex 700 Nitro - 3/18/15 (6 min 50 sec)

I have them and they seem not to bad. Mind you I am mild 3d. Not a hard core stick banger.
