Default Anyone using BD3SX Bavarian Demon?

Just acquired a Demon as I feel it will take alot of my fears away from trying new things and pay for itself with the first crash it saves me from. Does anyone else use one on their nitro? If so I'd love to get some feedback. Thanks!

Got a buddy using it on his Mostro nitro. It's a great FBL. Only thing is it does not have a gov built in, so you'll need to use an external gov.

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback buddy! I'm excited to soon have a better feeling of security when flying.

Default 700 n

just put one on mine, with a multigov pro ,works fantastik and the rescue func is great, coming from ikons ,there not even in the same league.
the bd3sx works everytime, unlike the ikon which is a guess if its gonna work consistent or throw the heli into the ground.

Thanks. So you think I'm better off running an ar8000 than the DSMX sats? I've read alot where people are saying it's safer to use this setup also. I was going to use the sats originally but I'm worried now about brownouts.

There are alot of pepople running just sats, you just have to make sure that the BD3sx is supplied with 5.5V. Originally I didn't have the proper voltage and had occational brownouts, but only while in a stationary hover. Once I upgraded to the CCPro bec set at 6V on my Trex 500 no more brownouts occurred.

I'm actually putting this on a nitro with a Pulse rx battery so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I have been using them for years on my 700 gassers with just sats but I always use two jr connectors with heave gage wire to bring in RX battery power, straight life and lipo, never had an issue.

Secure the sat wire to the connector with a little 5 minute epoxy, the weak link in this setup that has a simple remedy.

A optipower ultraguard 430 back up with LED is highly recommended.

Default nitro

i run the 700 nitro with a reicever and the 7hv with sats only,
sats only makes for a cleaner /easier install.2-power wires into the bd3sx on the sat only setup.your choice.havent had an issue with either setup.
2s lipo direct into the 3sx with the sats only .
also i changed my aux2 switch to a momentary and moved it to the back of the radio, sits right next to your fingers,no more hitting TH instead of hitting the rescue.

Good point MM, many change out a switch to a momentary on. The left hand back switch is what I use, so rescue on left with TH on right.

I use switches from old radios, but Radio South has a good selection if you need one.
