Default Flymentor

Hi Guys,

I have a FM brand new on a HK450GT, i set up the mentor and everything seems to be doing what it should, but when I test the mentor by tipping the 450 to either side or forward back it does nothing. The servo's move ever so slightly, the green light is flashing and the balancer gain is set to 70.

Is there anything I am doing wrong? Any ideas.

Thanks.

I assume you set your TX to single servo and you are still not on 120, before installing FM.

What cyclic servos are you using and what provides power to your electronics. If you are using the internal BEC of an ESC that is rated at 2A then you may have a power issue as you need 3-5A on a 450 from my experience, on mine I use an external tail gyro and had to install an external 5A BEC to keep the electronics happy. If you have the facility to check the voltage supply to the RX when it is all connected and running that would help diagnose this side if things.

Before you go to that effort though try increasing the gain say to 80 and see whether you get a better reaction when test tipping the heli.
