Question Builing an X50 with a OS50SX-H Hyper

Hi folks I was womdering if anyone has built an X50 using an OS 50SX-H Hyper.

I ran into a snag. The top of the head (heat sync) presses up tightly against the fan shroud. I can get the motor in, but I need to force the the frame to make the motor mount, bolts line up.

I can trim the fan shroud but it think it will still be a tight fit. (I tried to fit it without the fan shroud and it will still touch the frame sides lightly).

If you are using this combo, what did you do to make it work.

(I also email Thunder Tiger but got no response)

I'm curious to know the answer as well, as I'll be swapping my OS-55 from my old bird into this one.

I was able to speak with a few folks who had 50's in their birds. They said the 55 fits fine sice it is shorter by a few mm..

The 50 will fit but you need to loosen the fan case, install the engine and tighten the fan case back up. The heat sync will touch the fan case but it has no negative effects.
