Default The next Logo XX?

Just thinking out loud here, who would be interested to see the Xxtreme range expanded? I think there is a nice gap to fill between the 480 and 700. Personally I would like to see something like a 500-550XX, something that would use 5000-5500mah 6S packs. I love the 480XX and still want one in my fleet but I feel its a tad small. Im sure the 700 guys wouldn't mind either as you could share packs. What about a ballistic 600XX? using 700 powertrain systems im sure that would be a smack pilots dream.

I think the only downside to that is weight. The 550SX is one of the only TRUE 550s on the market and is lightweight. That is the reason id outperforms EVERY other 550 out there. Same can be said with the 600SX. They can handle any style of flying and just don't wear out. I really don't know how much more power you could possibly need form these helis as they sit now.....Ron

I don't see adding to the line up as a successor to the existing SX range, just giving people more options. Take the 690SX and 700 Xxtreme for example, 2 good helis but are totally different from each other, one is lightweight and minimalistic, the other is bulky and bomb proof. Im not one for continously increasing power as i dont see the need but i do like having options.

You could always get a 600sx, add the carbon frame, and add the 600XX canopy.

Exactly, those who get bored tend to want something new and that doesn't fit the Logo model. One buys a Logo to fly. Best thing to do is enjoy it and ignore a lot of the other noise in the hobby.

Isn't that what a hobby is all about? Sometimes I see scratch built scale models with 100's of hours of work put into them. To me that's a real hobby. This new generation of BNF models and even super combos have taken a major aspect of the hobby out of the hobby and made into more of a sport. That's not all bad and it brings a lot of benefits too but that's probably also why so many people feel the need to upgrade something that is already adequate.

Anyway's, for me I'm flying my L600 with 640mm blades. I'm thinking of trying some of the 690SX parts like the bigger canopy and extra lower frame parts to give it some more presence. I think it would be great of Mikado would release a shorter version of the 690SX belt so we can run the same pulleys too. Perhaps Mikado could create a new size of heli say a 650SX capable of swinging 650mm blades. Essentially it would be a shortened 690SX.

Also I would like to see that new lighter XX700 that Dave was talking about a while back.

Some people really don't like change, or choice....

There is more to this hobby than flying, if this was the case everyone would just own a single model, this forum would get very quiet.
