Default 3GX Align&Elev pots..Please set me straight!

Hi, Just set up a new 3GX 3.1version in my 300X and have set both screw pots in the middle and was just wanting to confirm these are travel pots yeah?

My maiden was all fine without any issue but seems to be a little sluggish comparing to my AR7200BX units so was thinking these may be what i need to adjust?

Can't seem to find information easily and thought my HF could help me out?

No the pots are the gains. Other settings are done via transmitter and/or software.

Up your flip and roll rates in the 3gx software to increase agility.
Default settings are quite tame.

Ok.....so turning either pot to the left i am guessing is down and turning pot to the right will increase?

Yes, but as stated earlier the Pots are for gain adjustment. If you've already flown and are happy with all but agility, leave the Pots alone.

When you hook up the USB, go to Flip and Roll rates screen in the 3gx. This is where you can increase how fast or slow the Heli flips or rolls. You can then go into the Monitor screen and when you move the sticks it will give you a degrees per second roll or flip rate.

Don't forget to 'write' to the 3gx after changing. Fly and see how it feels.
Obviously, there's expo in your Tx etc but adjust the Flip and Roll rates first before softening with expo.

Btw, have a read of Bad007's 'setup' post if you haven't already. It goes through everything you need to know.

It's not the end of the world. As you already have set 90deg/0 pitch mid stick etc, its only a 5min job to ensure no settings have been Reversed/added/changed with the update.

Btw, my settings were preserved from 3.0 to 4.0 but went through setup again anyway, as you should always do after an update regardless, for reasons as above.

That's a given with all software updates, why would risk not doing it anyways?
