Did I brick my DS-16?

So...
New DS-16 with firmware version 2.0 delivered today.
Using my Mac, followed the update procedure to update to 2.01.
Upon restarting the DS-16 I get a bunch of text saying Application Test Failed and an MCU list of switches etc.
At the end of this is says:

Update file not found

Connect USB and upload firmware
Hold PWR+ESC buttons to power off/reset

The SD card no longer mounts so I cannot access the filesystem to re-upload the firmware and resetting just cycles through the above errors.

Any ideas on how to reset to factory?

Sorry to hear that... Did you remove the SD card from the Tx to try to mount it?

My DS-16 came with 2.01 installed fortunately

I cant work out how to remove the SD card, seems well and truly held in its slot.

I removed the card. I appreciate the attention Esprit Model.
I need someone to send me the standard filesystem please as my DS-16 is now bricked until I can format the SD card and put the files back as they were.

Could someone please help my by uploading the contents of their SD card to dropbox so I can try and get my DS working again? Without this I am stick with an expensive paperweight.

Thanks to those that helped with sending files through.
Unfortunately this hasn't worked. I've formatted the card and put on the original files for the DS-16 and used a brand new SD card as well in case the card was an issue.
No luck, still stuck with Application Errors. Looks like this one is heading back to Esprit.

What is the firmware update process?
Copy files to card and boot?

MacOSX sticks its own files on the card, which might be getting in the way...

Yes, that's the process. I cleaned the card of dot files before ejecting, no luck.
I'm fairly convinced the firmware process started but failed and now need to be sent back for service.

Did you clear the .files on a windows PC?
Mac will rewrite the files everytime it looks at it.
Also clear you trash before you eject, as they will still exist on the card until you empty trash.

Yep, all clean. I worked as an Apple tech for years and currently work selling them so I am fairly OK with Unix to delete the dot files and directories.

there should be a way to get it back into a boot loading mode, so it starts again...

Did you try installing the original files as well as the 2.01 update files. That might force it into an update sequence, clearing up the problem?

Yes, tried that as well.
If I leave the update files there I get the following error:

"Update file not found"

If I use just the standard files without the updates I get:

"Application check failed! Check System!"

and it then reboots and presents the same error, over and over.

Have you tried replacing the card with another one? Perhaps the card has gone bad.

Yes. I had to buy a new card to get a micro SD to SD converter so I have tried a new card. Wish it worked!
