Default Charging mCX2/mSR/mCPx batteries with Cellpro 10S or 4S

After a few years hiatus from the hobby cased by the time and expense of mistakes with the gaui 200, i'm returning thanks to blade's forgiving and versatile micro offerings. I find my self needing to reorient with some old technology like my chargers. Seems I shouldn't have to buy any new charging equipment since I own a Cellpro 10S and 4S yet I am a total charging noob and haven't found any straight forward tips on using those products to charge mCX2 and mCPx batteries. I have some adapters from FMA but I don't think they will fit these batteries. I know there are some requirements for charging smaller mAH batteries with cellpro 10S such that I might have to charge 3 at once, which is no problem.

Would anyone mind pointing me to the proper adapter cable for mCX2 and mCP and the settings I should use on these chargers?

Default parallel charging 1S lipos

Hi, I'm a newb so someone with more experience can offer alternatives, but for my mCX2 lipos i got this.
The link has all the info you need to set your charger. Basically, you set the voltage for 1S and the charging current for (battery capacity)X(number of batts), for example if charging four 150mAH you set the current at 4x150=600 mAH = 0.6A for 1C charging, or 1.2A for 2C etc.

I have both chargers (Cellpro4s and Cellpro10s) and have been charging mCPX batteries with them since the mCPX came out. There aren't any off-the-shelf adatpers so you'll need to make one, or find someone that can make one for you.

Basically you need one of these http://www.allerc.com/hyperion-six-p...ks-p-6483.html

or one of these for the 4s http://www.progressiverc.com/fma-cel...nce-cable.html

The 10s will work better as the 4s as a 2 amp current limit when charging 1s packs. To get around that I made a serial/parallel adapter so I charge them as a 2s. But that's a little more complicated than you need to get started

Remove all the white wires, and connect the red to red, black to black. On your 10s, you'll need either install the plug blocker, or if you've left the 4mm bulllets put them in the two outer charge plugs.

That is a parallel charging board so current is divided by the number of packs. Because those chargers have a high minimum current its best to parallel charge at least two packs. Let me know if you have any questions.

It helps a lot. I assume plugging in the red and black posts is pretty dummy proof. As long as I connect red to red and black to black I'm good right?

Ordering all those, thanks a lot. For the connecting red to red and black to black part, I'm not seeing what the leads connect to on the six port, could you clarify please? Also, is there any possibility I accidentally charge in serial mode or is that impossible?

For the connecting red to red and black to black part, I'm not seeing what the leads connect to on the six port, could you clarify please?
They'll need to be soldered. Here are some options.
  1. If you intend to use the charging board for both chargers, it might be best to solder female bullets on each node adatper. Or....
  2. Remove the 4mm bullets and solder both the 4s and 5s in parallel to the red and black. That would also let you move the board between chargers. But you will be limited to 3amps on the 10s and 2 amps in the 4s.
  3. Leave the 4mm male connectors on. Remove the heat shrink on the 4mm male connectors, or some insulation from the board's wires and solder the balance wires to the red and black. Cover with heat shrink. This method would only work with the 10s, but would allow you to exceed 3 amps.
Also, is there any possibility I accidentally charge in serial mode or is that impossible?
That board is wired in parallel. You'd need a different board or cable to charge them in series.
