690 canopy issue
Love my 690, but the canopy has badly faded already, only had it about 2 months lol, must be crap paint they are using, thinking about it, my Logo 600 SE canopy in yellow has also faded, wonder if it's the fluorescent paint that can't stand UV ? Not that we get much here in the UK.

Must be the UK smog emissions. Our canopies are sitting in front of a window with 90+ degrees F sun blaring down on them 7 days a week and all look great!

Check one out of the window against a new one lol
Stand mine next to my buddies and it looks almost dark pink not flouro orange like it did. Love all 4 of my Logos, just not the paint. And it's from the top down, so it's faded at the top more than the bottom, so is my yellow SE canopy, just looked hehehehe.

Ive heard of this issue before with the goblin yellow turning to more of a banana yellow. there are pics somewhere of the boom where the part covered by the canopy was bright florescent and the exposed part was a banana.
Supposedly the clear coat was the culprit...not enough UV protection. The solution turned out to be waxing the canopy/boom with car wax containing UV protection. Re the Canopy in the window...Window glass often has UV qualities that prevent damage to things like couches/curtains/carpet/wood some are better than others..MikadoUSA must have decent windows lol! EDIT: here it is https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=613637 Looks like the yellow was the best of the bunch...red and green fade the most. Posts #4 and #11

Thanks Red.
Can only say what I see, shame as it ruins the look of a decent canopy, for the cost of the kits, the paint SHOULD be decent quality

Thanks Red.
Can only say what I see, shame as it ruins the look of a decent canopy, for the cost of the kits, the paint SHOULD be decent quality and most certainly NOT anything to do with UKs clean air hehehe.
