Default NEW HFX FRAMES FROM ROTORWORKZ

Check it out new frames that take standard servos no bell cranks needed and the servos have a bearing supported bridge. The canopy mounts are also break away mounts so you don tear the whole side frame up in a crash instead you have one little part to replace

I had a chance to put about 4 hard flights on the new frames and they are very imppressive

The pics show a 10s stick pack and a 6s pack you can also mount the 6s vertical up front.

This is the first aftermarket frame that really caught my eye. Can you post some good close-ups, especially of the servo mounts?

Thanks!

I have the current model HFE conversion and the stock 600 canopy fits like stock. From the looks this one will mount the same. I'm sure the canopy is off in the pics to show off the frame.

I really like the battery inline with the boom! How is it banging around?

I will get better pics when the kit if closer to release
No modification to your canopy is needed you have about 20mm clearance past the stock 600L.

Bobby and a few others are and will be helping in testing this kit for me so when we are closer to a production part I will share better pics it won't be to long before release if my real job wouldn't keep me so busy

Waelo, That is funny I like the idea though because sometimes my real job as a Radiation accelerator engineer (Cancer treatment machines)stinks pay is good but not as much fun as making heli parts

As for the battery mount its not bad I wish stock plate was just a tad stronger. but I have other ideas to give that warm and fuzzy  it is just not shown on this frame.

Hmm. Looks like the servo positions have changed. Now the rear servo has its arm pointing forward. This geometry is less favorable than the previous setup with regards to CCPM interactions. Probably can be solved with a couple of mixes if need be, but something to think about nonetheless.

Yeah ok, I know you think I'm crazy, but it's true. You'll find if you look at swash plate tilt (use a swash level... OMG) throughout the pitch range it will be tilting forward and back depending on what your pitch is. Allow me to illustrate why in the following pic. This WILL cause CCPM interactions, which, depending on what mood people are in, can be "the end of the world" or "no big deal." It can be mixed out if you know how, but it IS there and is easily noticed in flight.

So why would that be any different than the Bell cranks used by Align? They also tilt the links away from the swash at high and low pitch?

Align's bell crank pivot points are very close to the main shaft, so no, they don't have the same problem as this. You see here, the rear servo arm pivot point is way back... so you end up with different angles on the rods as they go through their range of travel.

Look at the stock setup and move the cyclic forward. Front bellcranks rotate down, just like the front of the swash plate. Rear bellcrank rotate up, like the rear of the swash plate. This is the best way to keep the rods very nearly vertical, all the time. The fulcrum of the swash and the fulcrum of the bellcranks are nearly on the same vertical axis. There is a reason they stuck that rear bellcrank between the frames, on the same rod as the other two, in a hard to reach place... because it's closer to ideal geometry.
