Default Goblin 450 rumor

I've seen reference to a possible 450 in the future but many google searches have found no specific mention of this as a possibility. Can anyone provide any info?

There was a podcast with stefano, at IRCHA where he talked briefly about it. Not too many details. I'm sure someone will post the link for you!

Both the 450 and 550 where on paper when podcast was recorded. They might be early testing by now. Just an opinion. It could take another year I have no idea. I don't think you'll hear any news for a while. But he did say they where starting the process on two more sizes. Now the 500 is done I bet it'll get serious attention.

From what I understand it's nothing more than an idea and possibly a few very rough sketches. If I had to guess I would say that they will be waiting to see how the 500 sells before getting into any true R&D.

No more Align or Align clone for me! Looking for a 450 that's designed right and don't really care if it looks like a Goblin or not.

Judging from the response here, I would say the 500 is already selling like hotcakes. Bring on the 450!

Then go look at the Mini Prôtos. No need to wait for a Gobbler.

Already looked and considered the Mini Protos many times over. Far better than anything Align has ever come up with but the drive belt layout doesn't work for me.

So one belt is bad, but two is ok? I'm telling you, the Prôtos drivetrain is smooth, efficient, quiet, and can handle the power. Just like the Goblin drive system. It's certainly no reason to dismiss the Mini P.

To each there own though. In the end it is solely up to the purchaser's decision.

They need a fuel powered Gobbler IMO.

+1

However if you must do a 400 class machine, please make it a 480 instead of 450...

A stretched out 450 has much better tail control IMHO....

Mostly because the MP seems to have poor auto performance...that's my main issue with it. That and the fact that it's an older model which makes resale value not so good if I were to want to sell it. We don't need to get into the debate about it not requiring a V2 version.
