YS120SRX vs YS120SR - fotos!
YS120SRX is about 5.5mm higher that YS120SR as you can see at foto. Only two different parts at SRX version - Crankcase and Cylinder Head. All other parts the same.

The cranckshaft is also different and weighted to decrease vibrations as compared to the original 120SR.

Crankcase, crank, head. That's it on the SRX version. Really more of a revision to fix heat and vibe issues.

I've heard it's much better tuniung than the 120SR as well. How would that be? Differences in sleeve porting...?

I can't say as I've never personally tuned a 120SR. I can tell you that the SRX is fairly easy to get dialed in as far as YS engines go.
The much improved cooling would certainly affect trying to hold a solid tune. I've been repeatedly told the 120SR had issues there, but again I've never had one personally so I don't feel qualified to give you a solid opinion there The 120SR and SRX both use the same sleeve part from YS last I checked.

Once you get used to the YS120SR, tuning is not am issue anymore. I am running two of those, and from a day to another it may be a few clicks adjustment. It took me several gallons to understand that engine though.
Vibes remain high but acceptable when tuned OK. |
