not sure if it's the same length but possible to use Rave450 'shank' screws..

I think I have some spares from the Rave I had last year, I'll check compatibility

So M2 x 12 would fit. I'm using the ones coming with the main shaft of my TRex.

The screw is called out as an M2x14 (pn MSH40031). I don't think a 12mm will be long enough to fully engage the nylon insert in the locknut, and a 20mm will be too long (but wouldn't hurt anything I guess).

Hmm I guess they measure the threads cause mine is 20mm from tip to tip, I ordered some 20mm so they will be here sometime this week, my friend is going to let me borrow a Jesus bolt from his extra 450 so I can at least enjoy the nice weather this weekend

Everything is repaired and ready to go, once u build this heli once the repairs take half the time...

Yep, M2x14 checked in the manual.

I've lost the nylon nut, so I'm using a metal one with loctite. I've already broken 3 of these screws, just the screws, and doesn't make sense for me to buy a main gear at time.

Trex/Rave is 12mm, stock is 14. I checked before I installed the maingear last night and it should work.

Flip the Nylock nut around so you thread into the nylon first, or just use a regular nut like ziper it.
I used a little CA glue to hold the nut in place..
After install you can put a dab of locktite behind the nut for extra security, should be good to go!

Is anybody using a esc that has timing settings of low med high? I have mine currently set on med and I flying a 16t on 100% tc and it doesn't seem like I have the power some have in their videos, I was going to try high cause my esc motor don't get hot at all but don't know how much my flight time will be affected

Ya it looks to me just the bottom half, from the top of the smaller hole or so is vibrating, since the beast doesn't act like there is a vib it makes me think it's just the fin, I could glue a popcycle stick on it to keep it from vibrating I just don't want there to be a actual vibration that causes an issue

Chris, on yours, which doesn't have this problem, is that yellow tail actually made out of a yellow plastic, or did you laminate yellow monokote to the flat sides of the tail before screwing it on? Wondering if a monokote treatment might also have a positive impact on the part stiffness... sort of like foam core posterboard gets added rigidity from having two thin paper skins on either side laminated to the foam.
