I have the Original DX7 and I think it's quiet a bit different to the dx7s right? I'm still not able to upload pictures on the thread... |

Dx7s is a lot nicer in my opinion. It has a lot more features, and I use the telemetry to tune my velocity 50n2. But if I had the extra cash or a good deal comes along I will be switching out to a futaba 8fg, that is in a whole different level.
Rotormasher if you have the extra coin I would highly recommend getting an align gov sensor and use the gov in the ikon unit. It works very well in my opinion. |

Thanks Mitsu, I have the sensor but wanted to do the initial testing without it... It flew grate but I crashed really bad and now I am waiting for spares for the rebuild! :0 Managed to bust the two frames boom and a few other bits, it's a full rebuild! For the align sensor is the wiring a straight plug in? Regards |

For me, I used the Spektrum motor RPM sensor, I made a Y cable for it to plug into the Governor and the Telemetry. It has been working great for me, but thats another option thats out there for you.

Parts just arrived from HK from option hobby, some how I forgot to order a torque tube!
Got the optional CNC gears so will see how it all works once I get the torque tubes... Sad that one has to order spares all the way from Hong Kong for a rc toy... |
