Latest graph, stock motor, 10T pinion, Mystery 2400 mAh 15C
OK here's a graph from a short flight today - it was windy and cold as hell so I just flew around and tried not to crash. With the stock gyro the tail was weathervaning like crazy. I was using a 10T pinion on the stock motor with a Mystery 2400 pack. At at 280 seconds I went into idle up (100% throttle across). The headspeed was around 2700 rpm, compared to around 2500 - 2550 with the 9T pinion and the same battery. Amp draw didn't seem to be significantly higher than with the 9T - perhaps my gear mesh is better this time.
For comparision, here's the 9T data: https://www.helifreak.com/attachment...5&d=1228956262

Yep, that is what I see on T-Rex 500 graphs, too. The difference in amp draw between a small and a next larger pinion is almost negligible.
Hey, your 2400 packs. Are those beyond 100 cycles? I see an average of below 10.5V during your idle-up flight. Seems a little bit low. |

Fish - Why did you remove your Trex 500 landing gear? Did your heli fly different when you switched back to stock?
