How long does it take? I sent an email via "contact us" on the web site and have heard nothing yet. Been about 3 weeks. I'm not complaining, I know he is busy. Did I sign up the right way?

Patience grasshopper, in my experience he always answers but can take a while, doesn't make any difference on the overall waiting list anyway, as soon as you indicate your intentions you go on the list, no deposit or real commitment required. Can be a little frustrating but better he concentrates on putting kits together.

Hi,
I requested in Jan, but heard nothing so had same doubts. Sent email again and he replied within a day.
I waited couple of months and just checked when i might expect order form\delivery and he estimated June

Cheers

It's really great that Jan has ramped up his delivery capability. It used to be one could hear stories of a year from order to shipment. Of course there was more than a year for the transition from TDR to TDR 2

If you sent before 31st Mar, it may be a good idea to drop him another mail. I sent on the 31 Mar and got a reply about 2 weeks later.

I've been waiting over three years for an answer.

Never did manage to find out how to buy a TDR and I don't imagine a TDR-2 will be in my future until one shows up in the classified section.

Best guess is that my ISP wound up on some German spam list and any attempts at email will be consigned to a twit filter.

Out of curiosity - I notice people are already starting to receive kits but I can' t find anything on the website to even suggest the TDR-2 exists - is it on a totally different site or is it some sort of state secret that requires a functioning email?

http://www.henseleit-helicopters.de/...id=258&lang=en

Right beside where it says Home you'll see a tab that says TDRII.

Go to the home page and you will see TDR-II, TDS, TDR listed in that order. Hit the English button and then it appears in English. Here's a link to the prices:

Thanks! That explains it.

I was still using

http://www.henseleit-helicopters.de/index_e.html

I gather the above site from the TDR-1 is abandoned and everything moved to the Wordpress blog site?

Last time it took one month for the TDR to arrive.

This time, it took 12 days for 2 boxes arrived. I am still waiting for the third which I suppose to be the mechanics. It looks strange to me that Jan posted all 3 boxes at the same day but the mechanics took such a long time.

Similar experience for me as well.
Around 4 weeks for the TDR.

But recently received my TDRII after 1 week.. Surprisingly. Seems this time round speedpost equivalent service is used.
