Henseleit Pyro Comp 850-50C. Henseleit Cool Kosmic...14S

20-21 T pinion with 713s....and retracts....and the CF canopy/fuselage.
For max speed.....rather than 3D.

For max speed, one's cyclic servos should have 55 degrees of rotary throw with respect to servo neutral.

I'm gonna run pretty much the same set up/power package that comes with the II. Same Futaba servos as all you guys are running, but:

Gonna run a 12S setup, as all my batteries and charging gear is set up for 12S.

Jan said it will run well on a 18T to 19T pinion. My flying style will be big circuits to smooth 3D.

I'm curious as to what Blade length you guys think will be good for this setup.

Jan said 750's may be the way to go, but I'm not sure. May just run 713's.

I don't think you will get to many opinions on blades until people have had some time to experiment a bit. Obviously you can run up to 800 blades so there are a a lot of options. With the heli having a bit of weight to it running bigger blades would make sense to lighten the disc loading.

BLS 172SV and BLS 275SV seem to be favorite for the Cyclic.

Why one over the other beside some obvious torque difference and some, not much, in speed?

Faster is better for hard 3d. More to torque for speed.

If you have a lot of torque, servo performance will be consistent. If servo lack torque, performance will suffer and differ under load dramatically.

I would think that the 275SV may be a better match for reasonable head speeds and fast 3D flying.

The 172SV may be overkill for most in terms of torque, but is a better match for speed speed flying and insane head speeds.
