I ended up at the LHS yesterday and bought an AR7200BX because the fastest frequency on the ZYX was 400Hz but the DS95i tail servo operates at 560Hz which the BeastX will handle. I mounted it on the bottom tray, and my CG is perfect. The DS95/95I servos are noticeably faster than the Hitec 5065/5084 and that's just on the bench. I will take her for a maiden this morning. See photos for wiring.

This is esactly what I'm doing for my Mini... but it must wait for the FBL Brain system from MSH.

Have you used a sigle screw only (for each side) or two? The ball is at 15mm from the center?...

My Mini is standard model: 3S, stock motor, pinion, blade and it will be not changed...

TY sir. Took it for a maiden in the parking lot here at work and it flies equally as beautiful!! Can't wait until this evening so I can really let it stretch its wings.

Today, I've realized that I am running out of upgrades for my P450
CNC servo blocks and lower bearing block
cnc pulleys
Stretch kit
6s setup
Ar7200bx
super bright Fusuno canopy and tail fin.
DS95/95i
wire braid kit

I think it's as pimped out as you can get a MiniP. Am I missing anything???

The outer screw holes on the DS95 servos didn't line up with the holes on the servo blocks, so I had to use the center slots on the DS95 servo mounting tabs. So only 2 screws holding each servo to the block(one top + one bottom). Yes, 15mm from center on the ball.

What did I do today? Crashed again on my first pack. It's my second crash in a total of about 10 flights. Lost orientation and it was slightly windy out. List of broken items.

Both cf frame plates
Bottom bearing bracket
Bottom frame
Main gear
FG Blades
Blade grip rod
Bent hollow main shaft
Tail pitch arms
Tail spindle
Tail fin

I think I need to spend more time in simulator, and tighten up my sticks on the dx7s to match feel of the RealFlight controller. And just take things slower at the field. Might dial down my D/R and fiddle with expo, or just turn off tx mode for a while.

It's embarrassing and frustrating, but I'm just a beginner, so I guess I kind of expected this to happen.

At least I can install my aluminum servo mounts and bottom bracket now.

Have you considered learning on somehting smaller like a MCPx?
That's what I am doing right now, they hit the ground, bounce and get straight back into the air(most of the time).
It's a like a real would sim, I get board at the sim too fast, I never get board with a brushless MCPx in the air with 7000+rpm HS

WOW! I thought my crash was pretty hard, and I went in tail first. Did you happen to hit TH before it went in?

It was close. Might have missed it by a few ms. Concrete didn't help any. I'll stick to grass fields in the future. mcpx could have been purchased for the cost of these two crashes. I will consider that. I'm pretty good with my msrx, but it doesn't translate well to cp birds.

Ah... That'll do it, I'm sure. Yeah, grass for me now. The field I'm at is all grass, and outside the flight line is even taller grass/weeds. My crash made a divot, and everything behind of the boom block is still perfect. No tail or boom damage whatesoever. Was hoping my bearings were going to come in so I can reassemble it, but no dice. Tomorrow hopefully!

Agreed, I went Coax -> MSRx -> MCPx -> MCPx BL -> soon to be mini P.
Coax teaches you nothing
MSRx made me a quicker on the sticks, its a slippery little sucker
MCPx felt like I started learning all over again
MCPx BL gave me the power to try most stunts the big birds do
Mini P I'm hoping will give me the real deal

Pulled the Mini out to fix up the broken servo gear in the DS410 servo and while I had it apart put the Metal gears into all of the servos. I will check the beastX configuration tomorrow and take it to the indoor meeting tomorrow night for its first flight in a couple of months.

I think I now have too many helis if I can leave one broken for a couple of months and still have plenty of heli's to fly.

Put 5 packs through her. She's as good as new. Tomorrow I'm shooting for at least ten flights. :

Six flights on mine yesterday, first time in a while where the wind was less than 20mph!

The frustrating thing is before I stretched it the tail was PERFECT. Never had it blow out. After the stretch it just hasn't been right. For example, a long tail slide followed by a hard reversal into a vertical backward climb will blow the tail out every time. I've gone through the setup multiple times, and can't find anything wrong. In theory the stretch should have made the tail better, but in my case... not so much.

A club-mate has one set up similar to mine, and he has no such issues. The only two differences are he's running Vbar, and he's got a DS95i tail servo. Gain can't go any higher without wagging, so I'm beginning to think my JR 3500G tail servo just isn't up to the task.
