It's been a week for 3 months, I wouldn't hold ya breath.
I've set my jeti cutover date in April, so hopefully it will be out by then

The current promise is the week after the big model fare in Germany (I.e. in 1 week) so we will see. It sounded like the regression testing was all done and it was just the release itself now, unless any bugs were found in the last week or two.

Jeti really needs to stop throwing out optimistic completion dates and just say "we're working on it, we will release when testing is complete" or just promise a date WAY out in the future. Given the large amount of hardware and output mode combinations they have to test for compatibility I'm not surprised it has taken this long.

Constantly missing optimistic completion estimates frustrates a lot of people. It's much better to under-promise a 6 month delivery date and deliver it "early" in 4 months rather than promise delivery in 4 weeks and then deliver it late after numerous "slips" at 4 months.

Case in point, I'm currently 27 months into waiting for a rifle stock I was promised to have in 6-7 months. I'm in no real rush but many others in the same boat as me are very vocal about their displeasure with the lead time estimate...

Given a choice between having it "right" and "right now" I'll wait longer for the software to be "right."

Well, in this regard, Jeti is "just like" all the other manufacturers out there.

Exactly, so it would be easy and worth it to differentiate from all those, right?

Short answer. UDI is a faster and less affected by interference digital protocol then PPM.
It is used by V-bar among others that is why a lot of people want it.
