My daughter Megan has always wanted to ice skate and is now having lessons. I want to join her on the ice but can't make the adult lessons. So I bought roller blades and practice in the school hall. After 7 days, I can skate well without falling over. What can I expect when I step on the ice rink this Saturday??? Megan's coach said they are very similar but I need to be prepared. People watch for god's sake

1 inch at a time! She's so cute O.D.!

When I was 12 I tried roller skating, inched around the outside edge of the rink holding onto the rail. Fell on my rear and never skated again!

Thank you OLP. Had her second lesson and sliding around nicely now. Please don't let me get overtaken by a 7 yr old on the ice

A work friend brought her sons coax in as it no longer flew thanks to her "having a go" and hitting a wall. I found a repair kit on Amazon for her and it's flying again. Her son is over the moon. Wanted to share as it made me feel good. Afterall, I don't have much to contribute here after the arrival of the V2

So I'm sitting in the hospital...my wife just had gallbladder surgery...was worried about her...surgeon said all went well...waiting to see her after recovery. I'm sick with the flu...not making things better. But she is fine and I'm thankful for that. Few days of taking care of her and all will be well. Then maybe I'll have the time to build my Trex 500! Sucks to be happy to have 12 days off of work for this reason...but i am now that i know she is fine. When back on her feet i plan on surprising her with a nice dinner out..need to celebrate her being able to eat again!

Dan

It's good to hear everything went well. That sucks that you're sick though!
Just a few days though and everything will be better!

If that's a euphamism, then pack it it and go and look after your wife!

Glad you are both on the mend. I thought my wife was going to have to have a gall bladder op last year, but thankfully things seem to be OK atm (touch wood)......but you and your wife have my sympathy. I know (second hand) how incredibly painful it can be! My wife has given birth to 4 kids and she says she would take childbirth 10 times over rather than gall bladder pain!
