You want to store it as in not using it for months?
if so discharge it to nearly 40% of it's capacity, so discharge from it around 2200mAh, and store it. It will have around 1400mAh left in it.

You can apply a 3.6A to discharge it.

Hi Fadi,

Not for months to store it, just for a week. I had it fully charged up to set up and check my electronics and used very little of its capacity.So, i dont want to leave it almost fully charged for a week.

Thanks for the reply.

Hi HFG,

I fully respect your statement and would be good if i dont get to the trouble to discharge it. But why Hyperion states that its harmfull to store Lipo packs fully charged for more than 2 days?

I copy this statement from the DUO 2 manual;

ALWAYS Store your packs at 60% of capacity. After a day of flying, use STORE Mode to achieve this. It is especially harmful to store lithium packs fully charged, and should be avoided for more that a day or two at most.

Cheers

I agree with them that its BEST to discharge your packs to 50%, no if end or buts about it. But from my personal experience a week at full charge isnt going to kill the pack.

What happens is that at higher voltages and temperatures (why we store them inthe fridge over the winter), the process that builds up on the electrodes occurs faster than is does at lower voltages and temperatures (there is no way to stop this). This build up on the electrodes causes the pack's internal resistance to increase which causes the voltage to drop when you pull current from it. But the lipo in question is a Rx pack which isn't going to be pulling large current like a main pack will, heck the internal resistance of a Rx pack is already several orders of magnitude larger than a main lipo pack (your Duo can measure the internal resistance for you).

Ok, thanks for the clarification.

Speaking about IR, which are the normal values for Rx packs and which for the main ones?

Just off the top of my head 10-50mOhms for main packs and 100-400mOhms for Rx/Tx packs.
