Yeah, I heard the hum. Very pronounced just prior to lift off....

Hey.

A quick question to owners with the buzz, how tight are your tail blades in the grips?
If they are too tight the blades will not lead/lag freely in flight and this can add to other factors to generate the buzz.

My own machine showed a slight hint of buzz when pushed hard, but a switch to the all aluminium boom, thick washers in the tail grips, combined with my already loose tail blades and it's gone. This is on stock Align tail blades.
Vbar log is showing no major vibrations.

I've always run my tail blades just loose enough that they can flop under their own weight.
I've found I can run higher gain this way.

Double SPEECHLESS. Someone is not on the same page.. And probably needs to be removed from the page altogether.. Unbelievable..

What is the 'increase in arc' that he's talking about?

Thumbs down

Wow, this is abit of a shocker to see a company reply to a mail like that.
I have just bought a Trex 700e HV dfc and a Trex 700n dfc and after seeing this mail, it has left me thinking if I have bought into the correct brand. If this is how they address a potential issue on one of their "flagship" heli's, then how will they address all future potential problems?

The brown truck just dropped off a 700 DFC HV combo, got a great BF deal, spur of the moment decision without any homework done on this one, but have a 3yr old 600E that is still going strong after much abuse. These threads have me concerned, but at least the problem has been acknowledged, it appears to be a high priority, and Dino is doing a great job communicating. I had tail issues with another brand and the reps were nothing but hornets, attack, blame, deny. I hope this comes to a resolution soon, and us customers are taken care of properly. At the momemt Dino's efforts on this subject have me thinking positively. Fingers crossed, I will keep the box closed and hold the receipt, believe there are 30 days....I'm not willing to go through the multiple rebuilds due to known issues ever again.
