The new esc is quite a bit easier to install too

Ooh! Do tell. Sorry if I missed an earlier announcement about it. What are the specs of mild v2?

My Setup is the stock Blade Nano CPX with the e-flite 45c batteries and BLH3325 kit from HH.

So far, it flies great.

Default Porker

This nano weighs 39.7 with the battery.
Long blades, Xtreme grips, 52mm tail rotor, V3 (wild) motor, Yannick (heavy duty) frame, metal swash, solid mainshaft, mcpx skids,HP02 tail, etc

AND a 300mah 45C lipo. The battery weighs 8.5 g but it's worth it.

It FLIES really well with solid performance for 3 minutes and 50 seconds. I didn't push it to LVC. My timer was set there.

This battery woke up in my BD-14 powered mcpx, too.

Interesting...wonder when Blade came out with this brushless upgrade. Once again, however, it's late to the game . How come they didn't come out with a Nano CP X BL like they did with the mCPX .

The next micro/nano(femto?) Blade comes out with should be brushless from the get-go

The mCPX BL is nothing like an mCPX with a brushless conversion. Completely different heli. By casual observation around our weekly flying, nobody cared much for the mCPX BL.

Having said that, it's only a matter of time before the Nano comes straight from the factory with a brushless main. HH probably didn't think it was profitable enough. The nano was the first of it's kind when it came out and it didn't need a BL to be competitive. Now that the development costs are paid for, they have a drop in BL motor. A new board with a built in BL ESC, a new body shell colour and what's old is new again.

Having problem with a wild BL nano I bought on here. It's a wild kit. I have a mild kit and I am running a 85% all the way across and it starts after I start the throttle a second time. On the wild I just got the motor will start but sounds weaker than the stock motor it means like it sounds stronger when it is full negative. What could the problem be? Any help would be great

Hey, Dylan, I don't see these esc's on your site yet. Are they going to be available soon? I fried my HH brushless esc and have to replace it. Was thinking I would use the XP-3A, but this one does look easier to install. I'm assuming it would work with the HH brushless motor.

Default Oversky 300mah battery 8 grams 45C

Dylan sold me some Oversky 300mah 45C lipos for my mcpxs. Dylan is out of them right now.
They really work well.

AND I changed the connector to run the mcpx style plugs on a couple of dbl bl nanos.
WOW!! 8 grams is only 1 gram heavier than the 240mah Hyperions that I have been using. But it is well worth it to carry the weight. The power is awesome.

I like your setup. I am going for basically the same thing, only 7mm tail motor. MCPx batteries with wild are great. The yannic frame, xtreme dfc with a little bit longer tail and head blades will be a plus as well. MCPx skids are great also.

Awesome setup daveapplemotors!

Default thanks, I think these nanos are the best...

The good:

I flew two nanos this morning at my new spot. It generally has no people, long grass (maybe too long) and tarmac to park on. The grassy part is north of the parking lot so the sun no problem and it's also a great place for my old-girl 3-legged-puppy to roam a bit.

Both nanos flew really well. I have both Dylan's new wild motor and the older wild motor in these two Yannick frames and there isn't a lot of difference with these batteries. They are nearly as crashworthy as stock brushed nanos with the exception of the mainshaft and gear.

The bad:
After one crash I spent 1/2 hour looking for the yellow canopied nano in a field of bright yellow dandelions and long grassy clumps.

Moral:
'Use the blue canopy and pay attention better, Dave! '

If I had started with these nanos I might never have tried anything else. They work!
The FIA skids for mcpx really look good and work for these Oversky 300mah 45C lipos.
In think these little guys look great.

It's not too windy... I think I have to go outside and fly one now.

Default and one more thing...

Let me know how it goes with 7mm motor, please. I never tried one of them.

I jumped from stock nano tail to HP02 and love them. They are the easiest to rewind, too.

thanks,
Dave

Sounds like fun Dave. I have used the 7mm tail on the my last setup with no tbo problems, plus the 42mm tail blades really do the work to lock the tail in.

I have to learn how to rewind a bl motor someday. I am not a fan of soldering but getting a lot better learning micro techniques. The BL tail is scary to me because of the soldering. The 7mm motor has been good and cheap, except you have to get the right tail holder which can be a hard. AD sells one which I just ordered along with the v2 wild kit and other stuff.

All I need now is some blades, mainshafts, dfc head plus, new batts are always nice, to go with the new wild machine, next paycheck. I have 6 main gears. I know how the wild chews up mainshafts, maingears, motor shafts and pinions. I was making mainshafts from 2mm cf rod, but it splits so easily. I am probably going to start using the lynx heavy duty shafts. I have had great luck with stock and for $9 they should work well. Then again I might stick with the home made shafts because they are all going to break in crashes and home made is way cheaper. If we use metal mainshafts, the maingears and motor shafts get tore up or bent and changing a motor shaft is not fun. That's all for my mainshafts have to be the weak link rank.

Default rewinding

Rewinding is easy but I must use a magnifier.

Use 17 turns 34 gauge (stock) or 13 turns of 32 gauge wire on an HP02T. I had to learn rewinding when Dylan was out of commission and I could find no replacement motors. Temco has small spools of magnet wire for $5 or $6.

Soldering the little wires is easy too with a soldering station. Best $80 I ever spent.

I am 64 years old and if, with my eyes, I can do this then probably anyone can.

Default Sorta inverted auto

The other day i was thinking of trying an inverted auto and i decided id try it...so long story short as i was mid flip (transitioning to upright) i accidentally hit normal and TH at the same time (i was gonna hit normal half way through flip and flick TH as soon as i was upright so it would "auto" the rest of the way...so i hit TH and normal while finishing the transition to upright, flared the tail, and magestically landed upright...it didnt tip over or anyhting

The perfect way to end the day and it was pretty awesome....hey what about a nano cpx inverted auto rotation contest Anyone down?

Oh and btw this whole thing took place within a foot of the ground and i did the whole half flip practically on its own axis...
