this is a great heli, love it. but of course could not leave well enough alone

mods:
1. Deans
2. JR Voyager E skids (fuselage had to be cut to fit the new skids)
3. Futaba GY401 Gyro (stock gyro not holding well enough for this big guy)
4. HS81MG Servo for the tail (soon to be switched to a HSG-5083MG Digital)
5. Lipo saver

looks like a weaker plastic is being used on the tt gears compared to the original corona.

i have not had a problem in >3hrs of flight time, but I have belted tails on my corona and thought i'd try it on the funcopter.

a little easier on the FC as the shaft is 4mm, so won't have to use an adapter like you do on the corona

I will be buying a FunCopter once it starts getting cold around here, usually by Halloween it's down to about 40*F. I'll use this for my outdoor winter and indoor dome flying.

i sell them as a kit or i can give you the part numbers and you can order it on your own. You will need a drill press and a 4mm drill bit to mod one of the pulleys

here's my latest video with the belt drive

ok, moved the entire head from the swash up from the corona to the funcopter and only had one problem.

the ball that the swash sits on is a few mm smaller on the funcopter than it is on the corona, so i used the corona part but it's not a direct fit, i had to cut it a little bit to make it fit. but all is good see above video

One of the problems with the original Lite Machines Corona was that the main blades could become
more brittle in the extreme cold since they are plastic and could shatter and or develop stress cracks
which would cause failure midflight.

Lets hope Multiplex is using a more pliable plastic that retains these properties even in cold temps.

I want one of these. Seems like it not only is a big heli, but also the only FP heli i have seen that comes stock with a brushless motor. Have you crashed it? are parts hard to come by?
