Just a side comment for you night flyers. If you fly a lot in the dark, use red LEDs. Red doesn't destroy your night vision.

Seriously though, think i will be doing pretty much the same case, i like it
Haha! I did that same thing with my 450x! Talking about a crazy squirrel on steroids! Amazingly, it did sort-of fly and took me a minute of flying to realize what was up...

Was not my intent, LOL. Just the result of boredom on a rainy day.

Here is the rather crappy wiring. I just"copied" what was on the circuit board where the LEDs were sitting in the flashlight. The wiring is normally hidden behind a piece of cardboard which is just a little wider than the case so it can be clamped in a slight arc. For a recognizable "H" and circle you need at least 24 LEDs, just what the flashlight had. I even reused the battery tray and switch, so this was a 2€ mod.

Looking forward to see your take on the ext lights!

That is a great case!!! I love the idea of using a lipo to charge the 1s "packs"...
Hmmm.... time for some mods to my Harbor Freight box!!!

I integrated the huge stock eflight charger. I hacked off the back, cut the wires to the battery compartment and then put it back together. Drilled a hole in the side of the case and here ya go

That's why I don't get one, I know I'd want to constantly rearrange it as a different heli becomes my "favorite".

You can order the foam insert directly from HarborFreight. But you need to call them.

The original case had better foam than the one they currently sell. But only the OCD among us may obsess over things like that.

Here is mine:

I want them all with me, so I don't miss out. And all I need is inside the case.

I even made a little book with the binding instructions and TX settings for the 130X, mcpx and ncpx. Just in case I need to rebind or I screw up my TX settings along the way.

The book is free for download. You can change it to your own liking, because it is made in .docx and .xlsx

Grtz.

Killer case! How did you do such a good job cutting the foam?

Just picked this up at Menards today. I think its the same as the HF case.

The rubber bands are holding a ton of spare parts in bags behind that top piece.
