Cool

Glad you're feeling better. I can't wait to see if your tail holds

My experience with the orginal set-up was not excellent. I had the tail trembling a little no matter what I did. I then changed the servo to a S9257 and I got much better results.

Later I changed the gyro to a Spartan and went back to the DS420 servo. Result was excellent.

In the GP-750 gyro set-up it is said that two settings are possible : 1 for small helis and another for big ones. My friends around here are having success (all of them) when doing the opposite of the manual, i.e. setting it as if it were a big heli.

Anyway, I've recently found out that Align is making available a new Tail Rotor Control Arm, part number H25062-1. It is supposed to be 2mm longer than the stock one with the hope to elimminate the trembling effect on the tail.

Sorry if I am duplicating information here, but found it interesting to share.

Cool, nice flying

I knew you could get the tail to hold with stock stuff, but like you said, it's not stuck in the wind. Doesn't bother me really though.

It's wierd.,... If I am sideways to the wind I will get some wag but not much... I tried dropping the gain even more but then got a sloppy tail... In the end I can deal with side into the wind wag in the hover. It wasn't that bad as you can see in the video and remember 10MPH winds EASY is what I was dealing with! When winds dropped I had no wag problems!

I think the people complaining of the tail expect a rock solid heli like a 500 or something can deliver! Sorry guys... the 200's and 250's are a FUN experiment and NOT a solid preforming heli like larger ones are. Gaui is the same!
As Bert Kammerer said... this sized heli is really NOT what you should start out with!!!! My best skills helped me fly this heli in that kind of wind. A n00b is going to have nothing but trouble PERIOD!

This sized heli is a novelty made for people that already know how to fly and get one for FUN..... If your a n00b... I suggest a 450 at the minimum!

Hey Bob, there is an issue with the tail assembly video, the fast foward and rewind controls are disabled and the video is cut off, and you cant skip forwards or backwards.

Regards
Martin.

Yeah that's pretty much what I'm seeing. I can fly sideways as fast as it will go and it holds steady, but there is an occasional wag if the wind comes up. Like a delay in the compensation. I'm not getting full tail blow-outs like I was with the old hub - I consider this "good enough" and I'm not going to torture myself trying to get it to behave like a 450. It is fun to fly, even with the "personality"

I double checked the vid and I am not seeing that issue either!

FYI I have been making and compressing the video the SAME WAY for the last year so it must be something with your system!

If you don't read the instructions and you just click the link, rather than downloading it, then the forward and back buttons will be disabled, and if your network connection isn't solid, it may also stop before the end. Try doing as the instructions say and save the video to your hard drive, then play it. Work fine for me either way though.

Yes.... I setup for MAX swash etc as you see in my videos and then added 20% expo on cyclic and 15% on tail. However, I think I could remove all that without a problem but my flying video is with that expo amount.

Expo or not is a PERSONAL preference and I use it on all my helis as that is what I personally like. DONT use it to try and correct and improperly setup heli!!!! That is not what it is for.
