Default Eflite 3s charging issues

I just recently acquired a new 450x that came with two packs. One is stock eflite, and the other is a turnigy. The turnigy is fine, but the stock eflite no longer works. I plug in the balance lead, and get an error...this is my setup

Took the first charge just fine..now, nothing. Any thoughts?

Yup, those E-flight chargers SUCK.

As much of an improvement that charger is over the stock e-flight one, you'll very likely find that charger pretty limiting. I currently have an 80W, 6am charger (more than twice what yours is if it's the one I'm thinking it is), and I can't charge a single 3S 2200mAh (for my 450x) at the full 3S charge rate. Yours I believe is 3amp 35Watt max.

My Thunder AC680 works relatively well for charging a single battery (or several 1s micro batteries), I'm now finding that I want to charge several (3 to 6) of my 450x batteries at the same time (parallel charging), my charger will "technically" do it, but it will take forever. I'm now looking at getting the iCharger 306B, that will give me more than enough room to grow in the future. Even the iCharger 106B is nearly twice the output of my current charger (3x the output of yours), and is only about $89.

The main advantage to my current charger (and yours) is that you can plug it directly into the wall's 120v power, I can also use a 12v car battery with mine (better to use a true deep cycle, though) when I'm at a field flying.

Most decently powerful chargers will need an external power supply IF you want to plug it in to the wall plug. If you have a 12v deep cycle battery for field charging, it will work perfectly with that with no need for a power supply.

I do plan on buying a proper charger. Just wanted something for my 180x when I bought it...the 450 is basically the non intended addition to the family..it was literally a week after buying the 180 I came across it in the for sale threads on this site. Brand new V1 never even spooled up..I'm getting rid of most of my micros to fund the 450x build with servos, motor, and speed controller being the first upgrades. Next will be batteries, and most likely the 306B which should do the job properly.
