unless your esc of choice will have phase output lead, you're really missing external governor sensor there on your list yge's internal governor is great, but since switching to FBL-controlled governor it's a much better HS hold at any rpm.
unless your esc of choice will have phase output lead?

a phase sensor is as little as 4 dollars, easy to add, and gives external governor support to many speed controllers capable of handling that task.

YGE has the phase lead on the newer versions doesnt it?

The original poster stated that he was planning on using an HC3-SX controller. That controller does not support an external governor. Phase sensing is a moot point.

Yge40 or 60 will be fine. I use the old 100lv which is totally overkill but I had that one here.

To be honest I think the issue is with the wiring from the sat to the 3SX, but with out any sort of logging there is no way to tell.
You have to be careful when running Spektrum sats with a 3SX. If you get a voltage sag below 5V you will get a brown out. Either take steps to ensure your system doesn't sag below 5V or move away from Spectrum sats if you want to stick with the 3SX. I run 3SX on all my helis. I changed from Spektrum to Futaba partly because of this issue. I no longer worry about brown outs.

+1

If you're planning on sticking with 2 sats, I'd run an external BEC just in case.

Another +1.

I used to run a WR BEC when I was using sats, but now that I'm on Futaba I run off the talon 35 BEC (which is pretty beefy).
