zyx-s lost settings?

I just put a spare 300x airframe together and setup a zyx-s that was working fine when I took it out of another heli. I bound it without issue to my dx8/ dsmx sat actually using the dual male plug method (that had never worked before). I went through the setup, did a spool up without blades to make sure all was well and it was. When I went to hover it it started acting irratic, collecive jumped up and down, swash tilted, just some wierd stuff. Once on the bench I plugged it in and get flashing yellow, hit the set button to get solid red and now the servos move but ccpm is wrong. Now all the settings are gone, I tried switching conditions but they are gone. It seems like I had the flashing yellow happen one other time but hitting the set button fixed it. I was hoping to get this air frame running and sell it as add rx and fly as I have no use for the zyx or the airframe but damn these zyx gremlins for biting me again.
Any thoughts on what caused this or how to prevent it? Could it be static? Houston is high humidity and the 300 is plastic framed...

Very odd indeed. It could be static, or the good old "condition" getting switched all by itself. Did you ensure the two banks of settings (aka conditions) were identical?

I didn't no, I checked both conditions after the fact, all values are out of whack.

Looks like it was condition switching, I reset it up and made both conditions the same. Just flew 2 batteries through it, flies pretty dang good actually with default 3d soft settings.
