Default Eeeeek! expert needed!

=] well I will try in here and live in some hope!

I have an ESC that uses an anti-spark lead for connecting to 12S lipos, the problem being it is new and the connection did not want to come apart like it should have.

the ensuing struggle has resulted in component damage, but I did manage to release it. so, where do I get a replacement resistor? any ideas? link or advice needed....

rings are gold-black-black-brown and about 6 mm dia.

thanks!

Hi

The color code is actually Brown Black Black Gold which would be a 10 Ohms +-5% (5% being the Gold band)

Check a local electronics store

Default 10 Ohm resister

The length & thickness should give you a better understand of the wattage rating of the resister.

What are they?

I believe based on your picture and the size, this is somwhere between a 2 watt to 5 watt 10 Ohm Metal Oxide Film Resistor. I would go with 5 watt if you can, since it can handle more current to be on the safe side. Even if it was 2 watt and you replaced it with a 5 watt is not going to hurt anything, but you do want to make sure it's 10 Ohms.

Not sure what electronic parts are available to you local in the UK.

You may be able to confirm the wattage with the manufacturer of your electronic component.
