Default 425 mid boom W/X5 bits

Well, my latest experiment has suffered a setback...the X5 tail grips on a stock tail assy and on a mid-boom, vibrates so bad it destroyed two sliders and bell cranks...
Put the short boom on and stock grips, X5 tail case converted to belt...smooth as silk!
That is with marginal bearings too...New flanged brgs. have been ordered.

I guess I'll just have to fly all three...Short boom with 430 blades, Mid boom with 500 blades, and long with 550 blades...

Default Crack-Ola !

...Found the cause of the vibe...Friggin shaft side case was cracked in two, but could not see it (belt was holding it together).
First broken plastic tail case I have ever seen! going to leave the new bird as a stubby for a while....

Hey PT, how well do you think the stock tail blades fit in the plastic X5 tail grips? I found the blade root not wide enough to sit nicely in the grip.

Is there a difference between the stock hurricane425 70mm tail blade and the bigger 550 tail blades?

...I use the larger ones on all my Gaui's with no problems...even the X5 grips.
I did however wind up using 92mm CF blades on my 550 for the "Big Effect"
the smaller blades will fit fine, don't have enough "Punch" for me...I even used some Bat wing blades...same diff.
