Default OWB on TDR2

Flew mine again today and on the second flight the OWB locked up. TDR2 has a total of 27 flights on it (logged with VBC), only difference today was that it was warmer than usual (32degC). It freed up after a while, asume it cooled down.

Anybody else experienced this? Mailed Jan to ask for advice but thought I'll ask here as well.

Yes, I've had it happen a few times after speed runs when it was warmer weather.

I don't have this and it is around 30 Celsius.

What do you guys use for lubricating the OWB?

Other than a fast spin down when you landed, did you have any other problems?

No, it doesn't cause any problems, just as you say it spools-down quicker with the motor being spun by the blade inertia.

I have't lubed the OWB, as I didn't think it was necessary?

My other TDRII has never done it, though I run that as a 750, with 2,000rpm max. My speed machine is running 2,700rpm @ 17°

Also zero problem with flying or spool down. It only showed a mild overspeed if you drop the collective quickly.

According to the manual no lubrication and that is what I did. Will fly it again this weekend and see what happens, in the mean time I have ordered a new OWB assembly.
