Snapped some photos of my 500 DFC converted kit out at the soccer fields. I don't fly the 500 there but it's a nice background for photos. This used to be a 500GF - added the TT tail, DFC head, spare motor mount for AR7200BX mount, new digital servos, slick canopy, the whole deal. I've got it working ok now, but still get some wobbles in the tail.

Photos with Sony Alpha-65 w/35mm FFL lense.

Nice pics Jasmine, but you may want to shrink a tad bit.

OMG sorry I didn't realize they were still so big! At first I put them up at 6000x4000, which was obviously too big even on my screen. They are 2048-size right now - I'll switch them to 1600 - I snake photos off here all the time for my screen saver, and I like them to be good quality, so I give that same consideration to others. Still experimenting with getting Flickr to work right though.

No problem, Usually what I do is go into windows picture edit/drawing thing and shrink them by 50%.

Oh I could do that if I wanted to. I shoot RAW so I have to process everything with LightRoom, which can produce any size I want, but I like to post full size pics to Flickr. That way people can use them in high quality stuff if they want. My photos have been on the TV news, and in newsletters, so I like them to be good quality. Flickr is just kind of a weird site, not as simple as Photobucket. The only time I reduce photos before sending to Flickr is if the photo is low quality to begin with, like the previous photos I've posted here... like this, it looks worse the bigger you make it

Just got a new Scorpion HK-3226-1600 and it feels like it has twice the power of my old Align 500M

Where do you fly? Dunstable is just down the road from me.

jean-michael - that's some beautiful flying. You can easily see different maneuvers, it's not too quick so I can follow them.

What landing gear are you using?

Just got my first large heli, got it in yesterday, was originally a 500E but has been converted to full DFC and pro tail as well as TT and microbeast, cant wait to get this thing in the air once I learn everything I need to and go threw it 100%

Pix do not do it justice the orange on the canopy is a very bright orange as well as the tail, just doesn't appear that way in the pix.

Hey stubbz, I wouldn't put the Mircobeast on the boom block with the stock tape. I did that and it got too much vibration on take off and flipped over twice. So I put my Microbeast on the bottom tray in the back and used 3M molding tape and haven't had a problem since.

Thanks for the tip, this ones been on there like that for like 20-30 flights before I got it so I don't know if I dare mess with it.

Heres the maiden from yesterday morning. I spent a lot of time going threw the heli and really made sure everything was right, most of it was. This is just a flight on sport mode to get used to the size, power, speed, etc.

I fly at L & D.M.A.S at Great Offley and I'm a permanent fixture at Sundon model shops Sunday fly-in at Lea Manor recreation centre; where weather permitting we fly on the sports field out the back after the indoor session ends.

Neil and I just did a little demo with some 500’s for the kids at Keech Hospice Care in Luton (http://www.keech.org.uk/donate/donate-subhom) on Friday, and then helped them fly a Nano QX indoors and I did a couple of ceiling landings with a mCP X BL at the end.
