No 350mm blades are not even close to 425mm. The helis that run on 350 blades are pretty much just a 450 size heli with a longer boom.

Nevertheless, I would be fine with 325mm 3S, since I fly 450 class indoors. |

Yes the Rave has a large canopy for that size heli. Probably the largest canopy in it's class

But a 450 needs to be very durable. Now that I have a 500 I would ONLY buy a 450 to bash around.

They already have one of those called a Mini-Titan. Honestly the most under estimated 450 class heli. TOUGH AS NAILS! If you smack it hard CA will hold the airframe together excellent. That's the nice thing about any plastic heli. The down side to it is the Mini-Titan a heavy 450 heli.

The reason that "450s" (325-330's) are the big segment is the same reason that broad availability of parts is a key factor.
For a beginner, it ain't the heli, it's the help, and the parts supply chain. How about a poor man's Heinseleit or Srimrov? :-) Jim

If MSH comes out with a 400 class heli, I"LL get back into flying I liked my B400 but I didn't like the quality. I just want a cheap 400 class that has parts easily assessable and cheaply priced.

I would also like to see a 400-size protos.
With the same canopy (just for the looks on the shelve next to its 500 brother) and the same 1 belt system. A 200-250 size like the Gaui EP200 and the T-rex 250 would also be cool, but I think it won't be such succes as the 500 or the possible 450 would be. I'm verry interested in the next steps of MSH. Just keep up the good work!

I know it's almost blasphemy in the MSH forum but the Trex 450 pro is awesome right out of the box.

I agree, I've seen the 450 Pro first hand and it's just awesome and the price is great. The 450 market is really crowded and there are enough great choices as it is. We need more 600 size electrics. Something with the quality and lightness of the Logo 600 but with prices we can afford

What keeps people out of the 600 market is the high price on batteries. The 500-550 (blade size) class in my opinion could be a very popular size for electric. We just need an awesome airframe to break into the class. I'm not really a fan of the Outrage offering atm and the logo 500 is very expensive.
It's going to be hard to compete with the 450 pro. I'm a hardcore Align hater and the pro really changed my opinions on Align. |

I wanted the same thing a 450 for practice. I've been in and out of the 450 scene off and on since their inception.
The protos flies great but is no fun to crash, and I really baby it. The 450 I can be fearless with and not worry about astronomical re-kitting crashes. To make matters worse several shops have the 450 pro on sale between 480-490. I initially had reservations about the electronics but they are great, even the gyro. It's no Spartan but it's definitely better then a 401 and even a JR 770. I fly it box stock and can do just about anything with it. The Rave and Furion I hear are good, but the costs don't justify what you get IMO. The Rave with motor+airframe is as much as the entire 450 pro combo. Once you start adding up electronics it's almost as much to just get another Protos. A 450 should be cheap, durable, and cheap. |

I'm ready to give up on my blade 400. I just can't get it to fly well. So I may be in the market for a 450 soon. My latest theory is that the ESC is causing vibrations at high RPM. Everything is balanced perfectly, but it's rattling itself to death.
I really like the Rave, but it's a seriously rip off. Looking through the part costs, it's ridiculous. Cost of ownership is higher then the Protos other then batteries and blades. |

Love my Protos and would love to see some nitro Protos designs. I think a 450 would be ok,, I might look into it, but doubtful. I would definitely try out a 50 size nitro Protos. Anybody know of anything in the works at all?

Corrado confirmed earlier in the year that they are working on a 450 and that it would be unveiled at IRCHA.

Corrado should give us a teaser pic like he did for the Protos. IRCHA's almost here, why not?
