YouTube - Walkera 4g3 Spektrum HH Gyro Mild 3D fight on 1s. Does it fly as well as a 4g6?

Omg Amp, that's some real big style flying you have there. And the power. What's the true specs of that bird? AUW? nice big hurricanes, any chance of an inverted hurricane?

Awesome nice flying you did very good inverted flight keep it stock for a while it crashes better that way since brushed it has less HS less stuff breaks in crashes and you get more practice out of it.

Thanks a lot buildem! It means a lot to hear that from a pilot like yourself. Like I said this heli is definitely a hand full and by far the most challenging to fly in my fleet. I am gonna keep working at it though and hope to progress as much as I can with this little guy.

Happy flying!

Oh and BTW, eventually the time will come when I could use your advice on going 12S on my 600E. I saw the vid of your 12S 600 with NEU motor on youtube... awesome!!! Keep up the good work!

Actually the 12s T-rex 600 is my brother Jose flying his heli. My heli is the 600 with the 6s setup the 4g3,4g6 and one of the Blade cp pro helis.

So you have a t-rex 600?

Oh thats right I have seen his vids as well on your youtube page. Both awesome heli pilots!

I have a 600E on 6S with the 650L motor and align 100amp esc and a trex 450

T-rex 450SA (mostly V2 now) HS-65HB's, GY401 w/DS290G, TP CF blades
T-rex 600E CF S3050MG's, GY611 w/S9256, CY Radix CF main/tail blades

Need some faster cyclic servos (thinking align ds610's) for the 600E and some better batteries. Looking at new turnigy 35C 5000mah packs. Hoping they will run cool since my 20C packs are getting too hot...

Hi Fretman,
Can you give us more information on your Spektrum conversion? I have a Novus CP with the double brushless - lots of head speed, but not much luck trying to get a good setup with that stock radio. I would love to use my 9303.

Thanks

Well worth the effort imo.

Thanks Ampdraw,

I'm a bit frustrated trying to get my dbl brushless CP setup correctly by turning knobs and flipping DIP switches. I will certainly consider this mod. What the heck, I already have too much money in this thing to quit now!

Mucking around with my Spek 4g3 at the indoor meet.
Some inverted hovering and a button landing finale!
Maybe should have checked my curves as obviously my thr hold pitch curve is a few points off!

Nice one Amp, looks like you're really getting that inverted hovering... down

My 4g6, I tried to get the battery as far forward and the wires as short as possible.

Some inverted silly-ness at the last indoor meet. Little bugger moves across the floor like a floor polisher.

After the two initial crashes and the blade tip "dance" it needed a set of blades and a feathering shaft...can't beat that resilience.

New vid from a few days ago testing a new gyro in not so ideal condiltions (check trees at 1:30). Was 12-15knots! Gyro holds well for this but right rolls and flips it is not nice at all.
