If you order from Ralph at FBLRotors.com, he will let you configure it how you want and ship the kit with just those parts. Otherwise, you order a standard E5 kit and then you'll need to order the parts to stretch it and to speed up the tail.

Yup. Unfortunately when I ordered my e5 the only place that had them in stock was amain. So I had to order my stretch kit from Ralph separately.

I would shoot for 1900-2000. It can go lower, but if you are going to run the extreme low headspeeds (1500 & below), you really need to be very careful managing your collective or it can fall out of the sky quickly with just a little bogging. Running it closer to 1900-2000 should give you plenty of headspeed if you get into trouble. If you get very comfortable and feel like your collective management is good enough, lower the headspeed a bit at a time until you get the feel/flight times you are looking for.

I would not reccomend starting with an extremely low headspeed unless you are very proficient at normal headspeeds first. The pros make it look easy but small mistakes can become big problems when you don't have the headspeed to get out of trouble. Another huge consideration with low headspeeds is flying style. For hovering or slow flight, very low headspeeds are not much of a problem. When you start trying to 3d at those super low headspeeds, that is when things get much harder.

I flew my trex600 with 606s at 1750-2250, flew great throughout. with the E5,you will need to keep the HS up a little to keep any bouncing or bobbing from happening (I am only assuming this, I have not tried it...) because the E5 head is much much harder than the trex600e head I was flying.

I fly my E5 with 556mm blades at 2350-2550. I fly my E5 with 626mm blades at 2050-2250

Actually my E5s has flow in N at 1750 and 1800 lots with with 610s and 620s with no issues at all. And as we have seen Matt flying his down at 1200-1300 area doing his low headspeed stuff fine also. They are a great flying heli for sure.
