Telemetry AND Gov?

Guys,

Building a new X50F and am using a DX8 with an Align gov. Have read many older forums about hooking up a Spektrum sensor and an Align RCE-G600 gov. However, I would like to have it as "clear as possible" from todays current users of this setup (just don't want to fry anything, lol!).

So what I woud like to do is use a Spektrum sensor to go to the Align gov AND also be able to use the telemetry feature on the TM1000/AR7200BX combo setup.

Questions are:
1- Can this be done? If so the wiring connection directions?
2- If this will work, which sensor from Spektrum, the SPMA9569 Telemerty RPM Sensor or SPM6823 Rev Limit sensor?

I tied into the rpm sensor of the govenor and used that as the rpm sensor for the telementry. I worked fine with no issues.Splice into the sensing wire on the pickup of the govenor and run that to the sensing wire for the telemenrty.Don't worry about power as that is already present.

I just bought a rappi 50 in airwolf cloths with retracts and the guy said the os70 had a gov, as well that kept it at 1800 rpms,,, well fine I guess but I've never dealt with a gov before, bird should be here Monday so I guess I better find some info on gov's,, he also stated it had a 9 chn rx in her and I'd have to let something go to fly it on my dx8,,, I stole the bird at 350 bucks as he has no idea what he had or it's value, but a gov,,, any tips or ideas on this?
