Wow I didn't think I'd get this much, and detailed conversation over said topic. This is why helifreak is my only forum for helis.

I'd like to have a 3 blade head for my Trex 500. My reasoning behind it is simply because "it's different". No one (that I know of) around me flies 3 blade heads. I'm not a 3D pilot. I'm just a sport flyer that likes to do a bit of inverted. I've seen two websites that sell 3 blade heads for Trex 500 heli's. One of them is $150 and the other is $110. Both look pretty cool and I'll probably order one before the year is out.
I've heard that a 3 blade head will auto better. I'm sure most of you know that a Trex 500 isn't a "top qualifier" for auto's. A 3 blade head is probably more about personal preference and/or "if" you want to spend the money. |

I'm not sure how I feel about multiblades for 3D, why buy more blades when 2 will do, your gonna crash no matter how many blades you've got, for 3D I'll stick with the cheaper option.
3D aside I like em, there's a vid on youtube ( years old ) of a 600esp with a 5 blade head, the thing just looks epic. Not an exciting vid but a nice flight.
