Question Align ESC Settings for Align 500L Motor

I have a stock Align T-Rex 500 ESP kit with a 13T motor pinion and a 6S LiPO. I have limited flying experience and am not interested in 3D at this time.

The stock Align ESC (RCM-BL60G) has three settings for motor timing: LOW (2-pole), MID (6-pole) and HIGH.

Which one of these 3 settings should I use for the stock Align 500L motor?

Also, the ESC has three settings for throttle response: STANDARD, MEDIUM, and QUICK. Which one should I use?

Any advice greatly appreciated!

I have the manual, and there are "default" settings. I actually wanted to know what people are actually using.

Hey these are my esc settings for my 500 esp eactly same setup as yours, 13T pinion gp75- ds520 (FANTASTIC SETUP)

brake: low stick/ no brake, not much point, doesnt seem to do much
timing: mid stick/ dotn fully understand this but it works out nice
LVC: Mid stick/ medium, i fly on a timer so i dont depend on the battery going
Aircraft: Mid stick / soft start helicopter, no governor (more accurate)
throttle responce : High stick/. Quick so you dont have a delay on the throttle
bec output : high stick/ 6V because my servos and recivier can handle it (ar6200)

over all with this set up it flys very stable and smoothly, if you want my dx6i settings to let me know, they are very smooth and idle ip is as smooth, just with that more headspeed and negative pitch,
Hope this was what you was after

Thanks, man- exactly what I ended up with! Seems to work fine.

Cheers,

does this matter if it's at medium responce if a flat throttle curve is used?

No it doesn't if you are running a flat curve. I'd still select a quick response if you use normal mode at all.

not really,. what it realy does is make the throttle not jump from 0-100 instantly, you will have a 2 second delay, its like a soft start but when your flying if you get me

flatcurves dont change the throttle speed so there is no speed to rise or lower too

if this makes sence :L its hard to explain in a way

just like lankey said, it is best to use quick responce if you nead to bail out and your not in idle up or whatevere

I was wondering this? Can the stock esp moter (500L) even handle the HIGH timing??? Is it safe and possible? Anyone try it, or is it suicide?

id like to know about this, timing i dont get fully i knwo it has something to ddo with the number of poles but im not sure, i would guess thatit is how fast the motor pulses/ rotates
