As an experiment I left my XG11 on for the last 24 hours and still no warning for low battery. You will have to contact JR service for your area as I am sure either the battery does not get fully charged (3.6V per cell) or the pack is faulty.

When NiMH first appeared people complained that after only a few flights the voltage was already down to 11 volts. To which I replied IT'S A 9.6 VOLT BATTERY. FLY IT DOWN TO 9.6 VOLTS and tell me how many flights you get.

My XG14E has the LiIon battery that charges up to 8.2 volts. It's at worst case a 7.4 volt battery and that is where I have the warning set. I have never seen below 7.9 volts after a day of flying.

I'm sure most of these battery complaints are from people who think that the voltage is the charge - like LiPo's. Understanding batteries has taken a hit in recent years.

LiFe batteries also have a float voltage that drops after you take them off of the charger and leave them for a week. This does not mean that they have self-discharged. For a 2S LiFe pack, the TX warning voltage at 6.4 volts would be quite conservative.

If the only damn thing you can understand is a LiPo, then get a LiPo. That's what the majority of people at my field have done.

Just set the IDLE ALERT to INH and remember to set the low voltage to 6.0V for the stock 2S LiFe pack.

If I understand your question correctly, it's because the XG11 uses a 2S battery and the XG11MV uses a 3S battery.

JR has one software that is used in both radios so the reason you have such a wide envelope of alarm voltage settings.

Adding a data point to the conversation: I got 5 hours and 11 minutes on one full charge. I used the main timer to measure it.

Pitstop , If for 2s life alarm is set on 6v why for 3s life alarm is 8v? Not 9v?

OK I figuered out what was my issue. A faulty transmitter battery. I got a new one and now the whole system works as you all described it.
Happy with the fix.
