Default WK-2801PRO Radio

I was thinking of picking one of these radios up and was wondering are they any good?? How do they compare to a JR or futaba as far as features go?. I have the Novus CP, FP and plan to get the new 125CP and am wondering will the radio bind with the Novus receiveras or am I gonna have to buy walkera receivers?

imo more intutive to program than a dx6i, and if you have those novus heli's you're gonna want the 2801 tx and they will bind directly. you can buy full sized rx's off ebay for about $35

Thanks for the fast reply AtTheCross... So if I understand you correctly if I buy the 2801 pro radio I'll be ok with the stock Novus e-boards and they will bind no problem??

get the 'pro' over the 'e', main difference: 100mw output vs 10mw output. won't make a difference with the little guys as you won't get out of 10mw range before you loose sight of the heli unless you have superman vision. but if you ever want to put it in a bigger heli, you'll wish you got the pro

I know its an old thread but I was looking at one of these too. What kind of programabilty does this have? Are they're throttle and pitch curves adjustable etc. I'm new to this and have two Walkeras (UFLYs and Lama2-1) and eventually going to move up to something cp.

It is fully programmable, but most depends on the rx you're binding it to. For example, the 4G6S rx has hardcoded pitch curves, so you can only set up the pitch curve on it.
But this is a problem with the receiver, not the transmitter. I have.a 2801pro and love using it with both my walkera birds.

Cheers!

I don't own a 2801 rx, but as far as I know it will support all of the tx's features.

I still have the 2801 first edition TX, and i use that on all my helis. 450s,250s,4g3s except my blade mcx. I love this TX. and upgrading to a pro later on for backup model purposes only . I'm using the 2801e RX here. if you know where to shop around, you can still get this walkera stuff for cheap!

Oh you don't need the pro rx to use on a 450 2801e works fine for me.
