I don't mind staying at the 1/4 mile site. Do you think I will have any problems if I get there Wednesday afternoon?

We have a motorhome we are bringing, it has a built in propane generator, but I am not sure how long it will run on one tank of propane. That is why I am curious about the hookups.

Thanks,
Todd

Mt tent has 565 air conditioning. Open 5 windows and wait for the 65mph IRCHA winds to blow thru.

Todd,
Here is a map of the AMA flying site. Sorry it is Site 3 where the 36 electrical hookups are for RV's. Site 4 is the location where the Jamboree will held. Site 3 as you can see on the map has shower facilities. I am sure there is some where in Muncie you can get a propane tank filled if needed.

Hope this helps. The USA F3C Team trials will be taking place on site 3 Mon thru Wed. before the Jamboree starts on Thursday. But I don't think they will be using any of the 36 hookup spots.

Thanks for the info guys, I have one more question, sorry this camping thing is new to me. The motorhome belongs to my father and I have barely set foot in it much less know anything about it.

Anyway, someone mentioned that there was one water faucet. Can this be used to fill up the motor home, or do we need to haul our own water up there? I have no idea how many gallons of water the thing holds but I am guessing it is a bunch. The motorhome is a 38' Monaco if that helps.

Thanks again,
Todd

Todd,
I would think it would hold at least 100 gallons of water. You have your potable water tank which should be about 100 gallons I would think. You have your grey water tank. This is waste water holding tank from the showers and sinks. Then the black water tank is your holding tank from the toliet.
Taking shower in an RV is not like taking a shower at home. Your turn water on and get wet. Then you turn off water. Then you soap up and wash. Then you turn water back on to rinse off. All this uses about 5 gallons maybe less. Grey water you can take a hose and dump it on the ground. Black water will have to be dumped at a dumping station.
3 or 4 people should be able to stay in a 38 foot motorhome self contained for the 5 days or so. There is a shower house on Site 2 if you park over there and use the hookups. So you could take showers and use the rest rooms there. That would really cut down on water usage in the motor home.

Last year I was pilot #347 It's hard to describe to someone who has not seen it what it is like. Sorta like Heli Haven Some times you had to wait for the pin to come up for a very long time. This year I have the scan select JR's RX's and the syn module. I hope the wait time isn't as long this way. I will be driveing from Phoenix Arizona it usually takes me about 4 days to get there and 3 weeks to drive home! Looking forward to this year hope I get to go Mike out in northeastern AZ

I can assure you that synth is the ONLY way to go! lol. I can tell you from working in impound that there is NEVER a time when all channels are checked out. With synths you will have a harder time finding a flight station than you will a free channel!

Your R/V should be fully self contained, Fill pot water before you leave and check propane tank (80%) is full. should last four to fifteen days. Besides, Who cares as long as the refridge works

You will need to hold an Amatuer Radio License from the FCC. You will have to show your FCC license at the event to use any radio that is transmitting on 50 or 53 mhz.
To use a radio transmitting on 50 or 53 mhz, you have to hold a valid FCC license no matter where your transmitting in the USA.

There will be plenty of vendors at Jamboree.

Rick's RC Helis
B&B hobbies.
Miniature Aircraft
RC Helis Plus
that is just a few. Don't know about deals. But they all bring plenty of merchandise to sell.
You will never see so many RC heli vendors and manufactuers gathered in one place at any other time.
