Default Let's see the mQX videos!

Can't believe I haven't seen this thread yet so I will start it up!

Lets see your mQX videos peeps! Here is one I just made in the basement attempting some tight maneuvers. Sorry for the crappy quality but all I have is my phone.

I kinda was at first because I am so used to my helis. I keep trying to do fast 8's and banked turns and the gyros don't like what I am doing lol.

This is not a heli and it is taking me a bit of getting used to. I have never flown a quad before this one. But, that said I am having a ball indoors with it since it is freezing outside. I am now trying to do more precise flying and sort of obstacle course type stuff.

It is really cool being able to walk around flying it. I can start flying it through some obstacles in the basement then up the steps to the main floor. I have walked it through the entire house in the kitchen, the kids room. Hell I even flew it into the bathroom and opened the shower curtain and hovered it in there for a few seconds then turned around and flew out of the room nose in. Definitely not doing that with my brushless mcpx lol.

My next fun with this is gonna be lights, onboard camera, and possibly FPV equipment for it. Looks like you can get a decent FPV setup for about 150 bucks but I am still researching that.

The way I look at it is it is getting me through this damn long winter. I have a crap computer so no sim. This thing is at least keeping my thumbs warm and bringing a smile to my face.

Of course as soon as the weather gets better I am sure I will get back to learning 3d with my helis.

It is lots of fun you just need to use it for what it is good for.

You do that with your wife, too? I always try to order so a new heli arrives on a night she works late since UPS doesn't deliver usually until 4 or 5 pm.

I can get away with adding another micro heli because they "all look the same". But, she's gonna notice this quad because it's so different.

lol dude it took my wife 3 days to start questioning this thing. If it wasn't for my daughter I think I could have pulled it off unquestioned.

I get my stuff delivered to my work so the wife doesn't see.

Have fun!

I just took some spare foam and cut cylinders and doubled sided tape.

haha yea I should have told her that. My daughter has been flying it and told my wife it was new that I didn't have it untill saturday. Sooooo, of course I was questioned.

Where did you get it?
- Store
How did you buy it? Do I want to know?
- No
You charged it didn't you?
- Yes I can't help it I have a serious problem!!!!
Do we still have money left on the credit card?
- Of course we do look how small it is it didn't cost much.

Then she walked away and hasn't said anything else lol. Dodged that bullet pretty well. She knows I have a big fat bonus coming from work the 1st week of March. I usually buy a new heli around this time every year and get away with it the same way lol.

Have fun guys and keep the videos rolling!!!

OH P.S. Dave it hasn't managed to poop in the litter box yet but my daughter crashed it into the litter box lol
