Default Servo parts and Maintenance

For years I have been repairing my own servos because I have had access to parts via Airtronics here in the US or Sanwa in Japan. Now you too can have access to parts via the Parts Center at Hobby People:

Scroll down and click on for example the Airtronics 94758 Servo here:

Need to replace a Pot? It's $3.82 and it is not that bad of a job to replace if you are handy with a soldering iron and don't mind tackling a little intricate work. It is nice to know that you can fix an expensive servo like this and you have two options in doing it.

1. The service tech @ Global Hobbies can fix the servo and charge you parts and labor
2. You can trade it in against a new one for a core charge based on the retail price of servo.

If you have the odd accident and break a switch on and RDS 8000 here is the price list:

The little case tops on the 94091 are wear items and Airtronics will sell the new ones and the labels to make it look professional when you do it. See here:

I don't know if Futaba or JR will sell you parts but Airtronics will and there is plenty of help right here on HeliFreak to get you back in the air quickly if you are so inclined to do the work yourself. Changing out a broken TX switch or replacing o-rings is no big deal.

Default Wow!! Great prices, too!!

I recently looked up the cost of a servo case for a Futaba 9256 only to find that it costs $71!! I decided to not fix that servo.

The prices on these airtronics bits are very reasonable and you can find the exact little pieces that are needed. No buying what you don't need.
