Ok all, got something else here I am wondering about.

The motor mount spacing requires I only use 2 screws which is fine, but it looks like the way I have it the motor wires will be hanging out the side by the heatsink. Is that ok?

I am running a HKIII 4035-450kv. Did I just mess up with the spacing? Can it be installed with the wires facing the front of the helicopter?

That is how i have it - on purpose because my ESC is side mounted.
should be no problem. front facing is used as well.

Search for setup pictures here and on Google you will find all the directions you want

Yeah I looked at some pictures here where one guy had mounted his sideways, but I am wondering if it is a limitation on the HKIII 4035-450 motor, or if I could actually mount it with the wires forward. I seem to recall that it would only mount sideways but wanted to double check.

And please degrease everything really thoroughly. Even the pre-assembled parts. Mine where greasy and loctited. That doesn't work

I always degrease, and I use 243 loctite which is the oil tolerant kind. Some preassembled parts I left assembled though.

Be sure to use red also for swash, blade grips, tail screw, boom supports.

Well, that took forever, but I am basically done with the build and setup. Just a few more small tweaks.

Now to get a field big and safe enough for the maiden.
