Resurrecting this heli to FBL.
Ordered a few 2650 nanotech packs and one of those zyx-s fbl controllers.
I'm going to do a quick and dirty mod of the stock head.

I have a Z15 motor and last time I ran it on 5s. Didn't like it.
Tempted to try one of those hobbymate 3650 motors.

As much as I like a lot of head speed I'm pretty rusty on flying helis.

Ordered a Turnigy HeliDrive 4249-1600kv and a couple 2650 nanotechs. I think I still have some other 6s packs laying around.

Want a 500MX but just can't dump $80+ into a motor at the moment.

While I wait for the FBL controller, batteries and motor to arrive I'm going to mod the head when I have some free time.

As I mentioned on the previous page.. I flew it once in like this and crashed it. IIRC the tail locked up and into a snow bank it went. I've since re built the heli using a gaui FBL head I have from my hurri550 (wow it's tall). It's on the bench ARTG (Almost Ready To Go) but I'm playing around with a 600NSP to ESP conversion and a HK 450PROTTFBL-LMNOP at the moment.

I thought I'd have more room to fly up here in upstate NY but as it turns out there were more places to fly in Los Angeles. Whoduthunk?
