Well I took the plunge. I'm a new Trex 450SA owner. Have you seen one of these yet Bob? I'll be using the following setup:

Align 430L 3550Kva motor
HS-65HB servos on cyclic
S3110 servo on tail
GY190 gyro (soon to be a 401)
Electron 6 (I want to use a R146iP)
CC 80 Speed control (untill I can get a CC35 or a Jazz)
I have 2 EVO 20 3s1p 1200 packs that I will make a 2p harness for untill I can get a couple 2150 packs.

Default setup for trex 450 se

Hi Bob Finless,

I've watched all your setup videos for the Trex 450se.
I have a question, when you setup ccpm, on middle stick the servos sre centred. Thus moving stick up will give +pitch and moving stick down will give -pitch.
Then I watched the video on esc setup and when you finished programming the esc, you connected the power on low stick and showed the motor start up as you pushed up.
I thought with the way this setup worked that low stick would be 100% throttle with - pitch.
I beleived that middle stick would be the idle position for the motor.

Can you please clear me up on this. :?: :?: :?:

Best Regards

Cyprus

ps: great job on the vids, please continue.

These are brilliant!

I'm saving up to get a T-Rex whilst I'm learning to fly these things. I would have no idea how to build one right without a resource like this.

Great job Bob, and many thanks

To anyone building a TREX that hasn't protected their gyro yet, I just added a line of SA Inverted Gyro mounts. Bob and I determined that my SE and XL plates minus the white block would work perfectly. You just shoe goop it on or screw it to the boom block. The SA mounts are $8 each.

I still have the standard XL and SE mounts that are $14 each.

Good luck building your TREX, you are gonna love it!

Rick

Thank you so much for the video information Bob, very much appreciated over here in the UK ( You are unique! )
I've learnt more from your video's than a whole year reading books beforehand.
Great job!

Hi Bob,

Thank you very much for your video's. The help and advice is simply superb.

Its made me feel more confident about building heli's as I'm new to this.

I would recommend anyone new to heli's to visit your site.

You have saved me a lot of trouble and headaches.

Many thanks.

Kind regards,

Paul :D

Thank you all for the kind words and again I am SO GLAD these videos helped you all! This is why I did them as I wanted to help new people that did not have local resources to help them be successful!

I remember when I was new and I remember how hard it was to get help!
Some groups can be very "clickish" and it is hard for a new person to get help. Some have NO local groups, some just get BAD advise or have to pay for it.

The idea behind my vids was to be a mentor to anyone that was willing to learn and it is for free.

Again thanks for saying thanks folks... Makes me feel good in knowing I have helped someone! That was me intent

Just wondering. are there any actual "build" videos of the SE? I've downloaded everything on the first page of this thread and can't find them. I am also starting to download the XL vids too.

Bob, have you ever considered doing a CC speed control vid? I am having trouble getting mine to work on my new SA and its driving me nuts.
