I got my DPL a few days ago and just completed a case build for it. My goal was lots of power with minimal size and weight.

The Dual PowerLab is powered by a Mean Well RSP2000-48 and housed in a Seahorse SE-540 case. I found a 1/4" Lexan scrap at a local plastic supplier for $3 for the deck and cut, drilled & tapped 7cm aluminum standoffs to support the deck. Working on the output cabling now. Building squid cables to concurrently charge a 12/14S stick on each channel.

Ready for action.
I completed soldering all of my squid leads for balance and charge today.

Looking good there Jay. Enjoy that setup. The single IEC input may end up being a limiting factor for peak charging scenarios.

Yesterday was my first day flying with my new DPL. Charged my 12S sticks for my E7 13 times in 9-11 minutes each cycle. One at a time or both at once. This was with my capacity limits set to 20 amps each side on the DPL. Awesome performance kicking my old Hyperion 720's tail.

Nice charger, debating on 2 6's or 2-8's
probably 2-6's, the dual 8X2 is smaller I think
I have Hyperion super duo 3 now but does more than I need!

Dual Powerlab 8x2 is approximately the size of two PL6s, side-by-side. Slightly different profile but the main thing is it's much smaller than two PL8s while providing the same power output. It's also about the same price as two PL6s.

Boudin4evr,
I started with these parts from ProgressiveRC. On the 2:1 balance lead, I removed the JST plug leaving the pins. Very easy to put the wire of the PL8 cable into the female pins and solder together and shrink wrap.

nice set up Jay, which side is the exhaust on? The small holes or the two larger holes?

Im looking at the same case, but Im using 2 x PL6's and the Revolectrix Powerstation.. not sure if I need to add an intake fan, I think the powerstation will exhaust ok if it had lots of small holes on the SeaHourse540 like yours.

The powerstation comes with 2 power cables... anyone know if it would be safe to use a Y splitter to an Case Mount AC Adaptor ? Instead of 2 full power cord runs.

Update accomplished on both sides of DPL-8
Oddities Using MPA adapters, first time attempt to use
Monitor read Lipo properly, Error indication on attempt to initiate charge.
A Reset seems to have fixed the issue on both sides.
Some other error occasionally occurs, haven't Isolated it yet.

CC software with two FUIM3, Lenovo Win8 Laptop with USB Hub
since there is only one USB port available. The other one has a Trackball/mouse
"unifying" RF link. DC PS TDK Lambda 28v 65A

None of the customer suggestions appear to have been implemented.
