Im sticking with email only for a while, it gets to be too much to keep track of.

Would more be interested in brushless kits like for the nano?

Thanks for the help Dylan. I can't wait to try BL so my order was sent to you today. I'll try to learn BLHeli after I get one flying!

Thumbs up

Spend time with the new BL installation outside today.

Quite strong wind, to the point where the stock one struggled a lot. Not the BL though ! It has got so much power that it flew like there was barely a breeze. Timer set to 4 mins to accommodate the stock one, but even after that, I could still fly the BL close by for a short while later, without hitting LVC.

Tail is struggling though. Using a 7 mm motor already and will try a slightly longer boom and better rotor first.

As they say in the classics : Once you go BL, you'll never go back.

Thank you for this tutorial that made it possible and gave the confidence to tackle such a project !!

Just finished my own BL conversion. HP03S main with XP3A. Stock tail with a 125mm boom. Flashed the ESC to BLHeli 11 Multi. I'm currently trying to run the stock 150mAh batteries but I think I will have to upgrade to mCP X batteries.

Here are the settings I flashed with if anyone is interested.

Default FPV Msrx?

Anyone else tried making an FPV Msrx?
I did it, but I'm new on here and can't figure out how to insert images yet.
Flies (barely) with the stock motor, so I'm upgrading to HP03s/xp-3a. Sadly crushed the pinion while gluing it on, so waiting on Astroid/USPS, figured I'd get the Hp03s 16000kv too while I'm at it just in case I need more juice.
Itching to fly around outside all crazy, with my goggles...

Default Msrx photos

Guess I'll upload photos once they un-vex my account, (once someone realizes I'm a real person not a spambot).
Should have flown it by then, I hope...

Hello there,

I just flashed blheli into XP 3A 1S ESC and want to connect to Blade mSR board to make brushless mSR. This mSR has been brushless with Steve's converter and I want to make brushless mSR without converter. But when I connect the ESC signal wire to where steve's converter's signal were connected to the board, it does not work.

I found out where to connect signal wire. But now I have problem with unlinear throttle response. It seems like governor mode. Motor runs but start of motor is not smooth (kind of jump start) and accelerates very fast with little bit of throttle increase. and if I move throttle stick to 0 position motor gradually slows down but not responsive.

Again it seems like esc in governor mode. how can i get smooth throttle response for blheli esc for mSR? Thanks
